Tick - Tock - Tick - Tock

Wow. Has it really been three weeks since our last post? Well, that must mean it's retreat planning time! With the festival a mere four-and-a-half weeks away, we've been working around the clock to ensure this year's event is even more fabulous than last year's. In addition to our three retreat plays, this year's festival will also feature a one-time-benefit performance of Wings of Night Sky, Wings of Morning Light by the incomparable Joy Harjo accompanied by Grammy-award-winning producer and guitarist, Larry Mitchell. Keep a look out for ticket specials and more details about each of our artists - as I always say, you won't want to miss a thing!

If you're itching to see us sooner rather than later, make plans to catch us in Solana Beach next Tuesday, May 4th at 7:30p. We will be teaming with Stone Soup Theatre to present a scene from Ntlaka'pamux playwright Tara Beagan's Miss Julie: Sheh'mah, a Native adaptation of classic play of the same name.

The evening will begin with Stone Soup's own production of Miss Julie. Then, Native Voices' artists Jennifer Bobiwash and Jason Grasl will take to the stage along with Stone Soup's very own Rebecca Johannsen to present a scene from Tara's script. It's sure to be a night of great fun.

Native Voices patrons receive $20 admission with the discount code JULIESAVE$5. Call 858.481.1055 or click here to buy your tickets today.
